DESCRIPTION:ICS-200\, Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response\, reviews the Incident Command System (ICS)\, provides the context for ICS within initial response\, and supports higher level ICS training. This two-day course provides training on\, and resources for\, personnel who are likely to assume a supervisory position within their organization using the Incident Command System. A number of tabletop activities assists participants to understand and apply the course curriculum.  At the completion of this course\, you will be able to: apply the 14 ICS principles to response situations\, understand Principles of Leadership\, set objectives to set up an Incident Action Plan\, organize a response organization based upon objectives\, and initiate Command\, Unified Command and Transfer of Command. This course is essential for response personnel at the supervisory level who are involved with emergency planning\, response\, or recovery efforts. \nSpecific Course Topics \n\nLeadership & Management\nDelegation of Authority & Management by Objectives\nFunctional Areas & Positions\nBriefings\nOrganizational Flexibility\nTransfer of Command\n\nTarget Audience \nResponse personnel at the supervisory level.\nProgram Managers and Training Staff.\nCorporation Representatives from moderate to high risk workplaces. \nDuration \nTwo days (16 hours) \nPre-requisite \nSuccessful completion of ICS-100 \nPlease note: All our courses are set according to eastern time zone\, which is Toronto time.
